Stakeholder management theory in project management has been evolving, with different approaches like normative, instrumental, and social science theories. A new concept called "Accustom theory" has been introduced, combining Western and Chinese management models. This theory focuses on improving project management by enhancing skills, power structures, and communication levels to increase stakeholder satisfaction.
