Passive House Dwellings Exceed Expectations, Proving Energy Savings Reliable.
The Passive House standard aims to create homes that are healthy for occupants and use very little energy for heating. A study looked at over 2000 Passive House dwellings and found that their actual energy use matched the design predictions, with an average energy consumption of 14.6 kWh/(m2a) for space heating. This means that Passive House buildings perform as intended, with no significant energy savings gap.
