The goal of the article is to improve the operation of electrical power systems by using automation. This means using machines to monitor and control the power system instead of relying solely on humans. By continuously monitoring and controlling all parts of the electrical network, automation helps achieve better quality operation. The main components of the distribution power system architecture are discussed in the paper.
