New Kappa Regression Method Revolutionizes Modeling of Conditional Probabilities!
A new regression method called Kappa regression has been introduced to model conditional probabilities. It is based on Dombi’s Kappa function from fuzzy theory and can be used to approximate the Logistic function. Kappa regression models the probability of a binary outcome based on an explanatory variable, with the predictor variable defined over a bounded subset of the Euclidean space. The Generalized Kappa Differential Equation can derive both Kappa and Logistic functions, showing that asymptotic Kappa regression is Logistic regression. The advantages of Kappa regression over traditional methods are demonstrated in an example provided in the study.
