The study looked at how different irrigation methods affect soil water content in Egypt. They tested 9 irrigation water regimes with and without mulching, using surface and subsurface drip systems. They found that as irrigation levels decreased, soil water content also decreased. Soil with mulching had more water than soil without mulching. Subsurface drip systems had more water than surface systems.
