The scientists studied the Cladocera and Copepoda (Crustacea) fauna in Balya, Turkey by sampling 35 locations like troughs, ponds, and streams. They found a total of 37 species, with 21 from Cladocera and 16 from Copepoda. Out of these, 34 species were seen for the first time in the area, and 13 were new records for Balıkesir fauna.
