New Study Reveals Vasovasostomy Success Predictors for Male Fertility
The study looked at the success rates of vasovasostomy (VV) in men with obstructive azoospermia. They found that finding sperm during surgery increased the chances of success. Patients who had sperm found on both sides had even better outcomes. The time to sperm return after VV was around 3 months. Late failure (azoospermia) occurred in about 10% of patients within the first 2 years. Younger patients with shorter blockages had better results. Overall, VV is effective in treating obstructive azoospermia, with success rates varying depending on certain factors.
