Cobalt stress threatens Jatropha plants, impacting photosynthesis and survival rates.
The researchers studied how cobalt stress affects the photosynthesis of Jatropha plants. They found that low levels of cobalt increased photosynthesis, but higher levels decreased it. The plants survived well up to 800 mg/kg of cobalt, but not at 1000 mg/kg. Overall, Jatropha plants showed the best survival under 200 mg/kg of cobalt stress.
