Soil erosion is a big problem that harms the land and reduces crop productivity. A study in Raigad district used a model to estimate soil loss and found it was 38.22 tons per hectare per year. Most of the area in Raigad district has severe erosion. By using conservation measures, the soil loss was reduced to 9.18 tons per hectare per year. This shows that adopting conservation practices can help protect the soil and improve crop productivity in the area.
