The article discusses using a technology called Honeypot to detect and prevent cyberattacks in an academic network. Honeypot simulates vulnerable services to trap hackers, helping system administrators monitor and secure the network. By analyzing network traffic, the system can identify intrusion attempts and improve security measures for both internal and external users. The results show that Honeypot effectively alerts administrators to potential threats, allowing them to take preventive actions against hackers accessing the network.
