Households in Nairobi Slash Water Use with Simple Devices, Easing Scarcity Crisis
Water conservation is crucial in urban areas like Eastleigh, Nairobi. A study looked at water usage patterns and saving devices in households. Most families face water supply issues and have to find ways to save water. 76% of households didn't have water-saving devices, but 24% had things like dual flush toilets and low-flow faucets. Having these devices can reduce water consumption. It's suggested that low-income households use water-saving devices and strategies like rainwater harvesting and reusing grey water.
