Organic fertilizers boost rice yield and nitrogen efficiency in paddy fields.
A study on organic fertilizers in paddy rice fields found that using organic materials alone resulted in the highest nitrogen use efficiency and productivity. Different types of organic fertilizers were tested, including rice straw, chicken manure, and commercial organic fertilizer. The research showed that in the dry season, plots with organic fertilizers alone had the highest grain yield, while in the wet season, plots with chemical fertilizers had the highest yield. Overall, organic fertilizers used alone were the most efficient in terms of nitrogen utilization and grain production.
