New soil moisture estimation method improves agricultural productivity in Iran.
Soil moisture is an important property, but measuring it directly can be difficult. In this study, researchers in Iran developed methods to estimate soil moisture indirectly using soil properties like clay and sand content. They tested these methods on different types of soil and found that the method based on clay content works best for soils with clay textures, while the method based on sand content is more accurate for soils with loam and sandy loam textures. This research helps us understand how to estimate soil moisture more easily and accurately, which is important for agriculture and environmental studies.
