The research looked at how state-owned companies in Indonesia are directly appointed for buying goods and services. The rules for this appointment don't seem to be working as intended. The study found that these appointments go against laws that prohibit unfair competition and corruption. This means that the system doesn't create a fair business environment in Indonesia.
