Developing renewable energy like wind, solar, and hydropower globally is crucial for creating a Global Energy Interconnection. By comparing China's renewable energy progress with global scenarios, similarities and challenges were identified. China's experience shows that coordinating energy sources, networks, demand, and storage is key to sustainable renewable energy growth. Suggestions for promoting renewable energy development in China include market coordination. Insights for future renewable energy development for the Global Energy Interconnection were also provided.
