Boosting Rice Growth and Yield with Phosphorus Fertilizer Levels
Phosphorus is crucial for rice growth and yield. Different rice types respond differently to phosphorus levels. Indica or indica/japonica types do well with higher phosphorus levels, while japonica types need less. Applying phosphorus up to 36 kg P2O5 ha -1 improves plant height, panicle length, and grain yield. Giza178 with 36 kg P2O5 ha -1 gives the highest yield, followed by Giza182. Sakh105 and Sakha106 do best with 18 kg P2O5 ha -1. Increasing phosphorus levels also improve grain quality traits.
