Papaya Yields Skyrocket with Drip Irrigation and Targeted Fertilization in Semi-Arid Regions
The study looked at how drip fertigation affects the growth and yield of papaya plants in a dry area in Maharashtra. They tested different levels of drip irrigation and fertilization on papaya plants over two years. The results showed that using 125% of the recommended fertilizer with drip irrigation at 100% or 120% of the required water led to the highest papaya yields. These findings suggest that combining specific levels of water and fertilizer through drip irrigation can significantly improve papaya growth and yield in semi-arid regions.
