Gender wage gaps drive Palestinian women towards public sector employment.
The article examines wage differences and job choices between men and women in Palestine. It looks at data from 1999, 2001, 2007, and 2010 to see how education affects wages. Results show that education has a positive impact on wages, but the differences between men and women in job sectors and wages are significant. Women with higher education tend to work in the public sector where they earn more than men, while women with lower education levels are more likely to work in the private sector. This helps explain why women with more education choose public sector jobs in Palestine.
