The article explores how different sourcing strategies impact supply risk management in manufacturing firms. Data from 223 procurement specialists was analyzed to find that supplier development helps manage supply-side risks. Strategic supplier strategies can negatively affect risk management, but supplier development can help. Contract management is crucial in strategic sourcing, and supplier risk management improves supply performance. This research sheds light on how procurement practices can enhance supply chain risk management.
