The researchers used a Mixed Nested Logit model to study toll road choices of long distance travelers in Nigeria. They found that this model can account for correlation between choices and different preferences among travelers. The combined model outperformed other models in predicting traffic and revenue on toll roads. This approach can help improve forecasting accuracy for toll road usage.
