Untapped Geothermal Riches Discovered Beneath Albania's Mountains, Promising Renewable Energy Boom
The geothermal field in the Mediterranean Alpine Folded Belt in Albania was studied to understand its unique characteristics. By analyzing geological factors, researchers found that the geothermal regime in the Albanides is influenced by specific conditions. Temperature logs from deep wells were used to gather data for the study, which took place between 1989 and 2004. The findings shed light on the geothermal resources in the region and contribute to our understanding of geothermal energy potential in Albania.
