Maximizing Mango Orchard Yield: Sunlight Key to Fruit Production Success
The study looked at how the density of branches at the ends of mango trees affects fruit production in high-yield orchards. They found that the number of branches and fruits is higher on the West side of the tree and in the lower part of the canopy. By pruning the trees in a trapezoidal shape, they were able to increase the number of fruits per branch to 1.15. This shows that where branches are located on the tree and how they are pruned can impact how many fruits the tree produces.
