Land reclamation is important for restoring the fragile ecology of Xinjiang's mines. A model was created using factor analysis, cluster analysis, and discriminant analysis to evaluate land reclamation suitability for nonmetallic mines in Xinjiang. The model was tested with a high accuracy of 98.7%, with only 2 out of 149 samples misclassified. Applying the model to a limestone mine in Urumqi showed satisfactory results for 15 land reclamation units. This evaluation model could be a valuable tool for assessing land reclamation suitability in Xinjiang.
