Transforming Tropical Megacities: Innovative Strategies Cool Urban Heat Islands
The study looked at ways to cool down a hot city in Taiwan using different strategies like adding greenery and permeable pavement. They found that the best plan was to use all the strategies together, which lowered the temperature by 2 degrees Celsius. Increasing the amount of greenery on the streets also helped to cool things down. This research shows that simple changes in urban design can make a big difference in reducing heat in cities.
