The study looked at nitrogen levels in the water at Wuxi port in Taihu Lake from 2010 to 2015. The results showed that the water is polluted, with nitrogen levels higher than recommended. Nitrogen levels were higher in summer and autumn compared to spring and winter. In years with more rainfall, nitrogen levels increased and then decreased. Nitrogen levels were higher in the non-flood season than in the flood season.
