Proper nitrogen application boosts soil health and crop productivity.
The study looked at how different amounts of nitrogen fertilizer affected soil nitrogen levels and enzyme activities in the roots and surrounding soil of summer maize plants. They found that adding nitrogen fertilizer increased nitrogen levels and enzyme activities in the soil. The nitrogen levels were higher in the non-root soil compared to the root soil, and enzyme activities were higher in the root soil. The study showed that the right amount of nitrogen fertilizer can improve soil quality by increasing enzyme activities and nitrogen levels.
