Lime treatment transforms soft clay waste into sustainable construction material.
The researchers studied how adding lime to soft clay can make it stronger and more stable. They tested different water levels and curing times to see how the clay changed. Adding lime made the clay less squishy, better at holding together, and let water flow through it more easily. The best results were seen with medium water levels. Adding lime to really wet clay didn't help as much. To make the treated clay usable, it needs to be dried first. This method is cheaper and better for the environment than dumping the clay in a landfill.
