Boost Crop Yield and Quality with Livestock Manure and Reduced Fertilizer
The study looked at how different levels of nitrogen fertilizer and livestock manure affect the growth and protein content of corn. They found that using 180 kg.ha-1 of nitrogen fertilizer and 20 t.ha-1 of livestock manure resulted in the highest number of seeds, seed yield, and protein concentration in corn. This combination also increased the weight of 1000 seeds and the number of rows per ear. Overall, using these specific amounts of fertilizer and manure can improve the quality and quantity of corn crops, which could be beneficial for farmers.
