Silvicultural treatments in Mexican forests maintain tree diversity levels unchanged.
The study looked at how different forest management methods affect tree diversity in a forest in northern Mexico. They tried out four different ways of managing the forest, from cutting down a lot of trees to leaving most of them untouched. They found that the more careful methods didn't change the diversity of trees much, but the clearcutting method did. Overall, the forest management methods didn't have a big impact on tree diversity in this area.
