Study reveals key factors influencing soil health in Jiangxi Province
The researchers analyzed soil in Jiangxi Province to see how the carbon-to-nitrogen ratio varied across the region. They used soil samples and statistical methods to study factors like terrain, fertilizer levels, and soil type. The results showed that nitrogen fertilizer levels had the biggest impact on the ratio, explaining 33.4% of the variation. Other factors like terrain and soil type also played a role, but to a lesser extent. The soil C/N ratio ranged from 2.98 to 52.67, with an average of 11.72, and was influenced by factors like elevation and slope. Overall, the study found that nitrogen fertilizer levels were the main factor affecting the distribution of soil C/N in the region.
