They used a method called data envelopment analysis (DEA) to measure productivity growth. Traditional DEA models assume precise data, but real-world data can be uncertain. The researchers transformed the data into intervals to get more accurate efficiency scores. The results showed that DEA techniques are effective for evaluating and comparing industry performances.
