The study looked at how making monosodium glutamate (MSG) in China affects the environment. They found that without any changes, producing 1 ton of MSG releases a lot of harmful substances. By using cleaner production methods like cogeneration and co-production, the environmental impact can be reduced by a lot. The best option is a mix of these methods, which can cut down on global warming and water pollution significantly. To make MSG production even more eco-friendly, they suggest using energy more efficiently and improving how materials are used.
