The Yangtze River Basin has a lot of sediment that is important for China's development. Changes in sediment distribution have led to a shortage of sediment resources. To fix this, we need to manage water and sediment better, dig sand in reservoirs, and plan sand mining in rivers wisely. By doing this, we can use sediment more efficiently and reduce the demand for sediment in the Yangtze River.
