China's Inequality Drops as Policies Boost Peasant Incomes
The economic policy in China has helped keep income inequality low compared to other countries. The way wealth is distributed across different sectors plays a big role in this. Even though there was a drop in inequality after land reform, industrialization led to an increase in inequality. Different policies have had a big impact on income inequality in China. Improving conditions for farmers has helped reduce national income inequality since 1978.
