New model offers improved accuracy in predicting peak flows in mountainous areas.
The study aimed to find the best way to predict peak flow in mountainous areas using rainfall-runoff models. Researchers analyzed data from a specific area in Poland from 1981 to 2014. They tested three models and found that the EBA4SUB model was the most accurate for predicting peak flows in ungauged mountainous catchments. This model had lower errors compared to the other models tested.
