Government policies and competition drive innovation in high-tech SMEs.
The article discusses how small-medium enterprises (SMEs) in China, especially high-tech ones, can innovate to stay competitive. The researchers interviewed 50 employees from 10 SMEs in Suzhou to understand the factors influencing innovation. They found that government policies, entrepreneurship, competition, and market demand are key factors. Based on this, they created a model to help further research on SME innovation.
