Residual boron boosts rice-wheat yield, revolutionizing farming practices.
A study was conducted to see how adding boron to soil affects the growth of rice and wheat. They used different levels of boron in a pot experiment. The best results for rice came from adding 1.5 kg of boron per hectare, while wheat did best with 3.0 kg of residual boron. Boron levels in the soil increased plant growth and yield for both crops. However, too much boron decreased rice yield. Even after the wheat crop, the soil still had a positive effect from the boron applied to the rice.
