Eco-friendly refrigerants could slash global warming impact of cooling systems.
The scientists looked at new eco-friendly gases to replace common refrigerants in fridges and air conditioning. They tested special mixed gases to see if they could be good substitutes. Instead of the regular gases, they tried the new ones that have low global warming effects. The scientists studied how dense the liquids were and how thick (viscous) they were. Results show that these new gases could work well as replacements for the usual gases we use. This could help reduce the impact on the Earth's atmosphere.
