Allicin Breakthrough: Reversing Kidney Failure, Improving Lives of Millions
A study looked at how allicin, a compound found in garlic, affects kidney tissue scarring in rats with kidney problems. They gave rats allicin at different doses for 28 days and compared them to rats not given allicin. The rats getting allicin had better kidney function, less kidney scarring, and lower levels of harmful substances in their blood and urine. Allicin helped reduce kidney damage in the rats with kidney issues. This suggests allicin might be useful in protecting the kidneys from getting worse in conditions like chronic kidney failure.
