Industrial policies in China impact eco-efficiency, revealing regional disparities.
The article explores how industrial policies impact the eco-efficiency of China's industrial sector. By analyzing data from 2006 to 2015, the researchers found that the overall eco-efficiency of the industrial sector in China is 0.7581, with the eastern region being the most efficient. They also discovered that industrial agglomeration hinders eco-efficiency, while industrial structure rationalization helps improve it. Additionally, the efficiency of waste treatment processes is more influenced by industrial policies than the production processes. These findings emphasize the importance of enhancing the efficiency of different industrial processes to promote eco-friendly practices in the industrial sector.
