Perfectionist medical students more likely to procrastinate, study finds.
The study looked at how perfectionism and procrastination are related among medical students. They surveyed 327 medical students from two universities in Guangzhou using specific scales. The results showed that medical students tend to have higher levels of perfectionism compared to regular college students. They found that certain aspects of perfectionism were linked to higher levels of procrastination. Specifically, students who were more negatively perfectionistic tended to procrastinate more. Overall, the study suggests that high levels of perfectionism among medical students can lead to increased procrastination.
