Shading at 75% Reduces Plant Growth, 35% Shade Optimal for Cultivation.
The study looked at how shading affects the growth and health of Aruncus dioicus var. kamtschaticus seedlings. Different levels of shading were tested, and it was found that 35% shading was best for photosynthesis and growth. Under 35% shading, the seedlings had the highest photosynthetic rate and chlorophyll content, leading to better growth. On the other hand, 75% shading reduced photosynthesis significantly. This means that moderate shading is good for the early growth of these plants.
