Optimal irrigation and nitrogen levels boost wheat yield in Bangladesh
A study in Bangladesh looked at how different irrigation and nitrogen fertilizer levels affect the yield of spring wheat. They tested five irrigation levels and six nitrogen levels on wheat growth. The best results came from two irrigations at specific growth stages and 120 kg of nitrogen per hectare. This combination gave the highest grain and straw yields, as well as the best overall plant growth. The study suggests that farmers in Bangladesh should consider using this irrigation and nitrogen management strategy to increase wheat yields.
