Sodium Ferulate Offers Hope for Severe Pancreatitis Patients
Researchers investigated how sodium ferulate (SF) helps rats with severe acute pancreatitis induced by L-arginine. They divided rats into control, pancreatitis, and SF groups and compared their health indicators after treatment. Rats with severe acute pancreatitis showed worse pancreas damage and higher levels of harmful substances in their blood compared to healthy rats. Rats treated with SF had less pancreatic damage and lower levels of harmful substances after 72 hours. This suggests that SF may reduce the severity of acute pancreatitis in rats.
