Hydrogen-infused saline could save lives of paraquat poisoning victims
The researchers wanted to see if hydrogen saturated saline could protect the lungs from damage caused by paraquat poisoning in rats. They divided the rats into three groups and gave them different treatments. They found that rats treated with hydrogen saline had better oxygen levels in their blood and lower levels of harmful substances in their lungs compared to rats not treated with hydrogen saline. This suggests that hydrogen saturated saline may help protect the lungs from injury and fibrosis caused by paraquat poisoning.
