Managing supply chain risks leads to robustness and improved performance.
Supply chain risk management aims to improve supply chain performance by identifying and managing risks from suppliers, production, transportation, and customer experiences. Uncertainty in demand and supplier issues are major sources of risk. A study of 53 manufacturing firms found that managing risk and uncertainty leads to a more robust supply chain. The research used data analysis to show a positive correlation between risk and uncertainties, highlighting the importance of addressing these factors to enhance supply chain resilience.
