Social forestry governance flaws lead to community conflicts in Indonesia.
Social forestry governance in Jeneberang I forest management unit was analyzed to see how well policies were being implemented. The study looked at interest representation, accountability, transparency, decision-making, and implementation. The research found that focusing on the number of social forestry business groups instead of the target area could improve governance quality. Conflicts between the community and the government were identified as a result of current governance practices.
