The wind characteristics at Bac Lieu station in 2016 were studied using the Weibull function. The shape factor "k" was found to be 1.69 and the scale factor "c" was 3.91. The wind energy density was calculated to be 57.3 W/m2, with a maximum energy carrier wind speed of 6.2 m/s. The most probable wind speed was 2.3 m/s, the mean wind speed was 3.5 m/s, and the standard deviation of wind speeds was 2.1 m/s.
