Large-scale wind energy can be unpredictable, causing voltage and power fluctuations. Pumped hydroelectric energy storage is a great solution to this issue. By adding this storage system, wind energy integration becomes more efficient. Comparing different storage options, pumped hydroelectric storage stands out as a promising choice. Simulations in Matlab/Simulink show that this system works well over time and in various scenarios. This research paves the way for better large-scale wind power integration, with pumped hydroelectric storage as a reliable backup option.
