Energy storage is crucial for balancing power supply, especially with renewable energy sources. A small-scale compressed air energy storage system was analyzed, showing it can efficiently store energy and provide heating and cooling. By using innovative techniques like quasi-isothermal compression, the system achieves high efficiency. This micro-CAES system could be a great solution for future distributed power networks.
